A few Braveheart Updates...

Team Deposits
For most players team deposits are due on Monday, October 6th.  (other's notified later had a later deposit date).

Make-up Tryout Dates
We had a number of players contact us to be considered for team spots due to schedule conflicts with the first tryout dates. We have some spots available to round out teams at the youth level.  Keep an eye out for upcoming dates/times.

Youth Fall Tournaments & Box Lacrosse
Save the date for the youth Pumpkin Pie Tournament, November 22nd & 23rd. We are also working on a Box Lacrosse partnership. More information to follow...

Equipment and UnderArmour Store
We will be sending out over the next few weeks a link to the online store with UnderArmour apparel and will include the new helmet design for purchase.


AILA & Braveheart Partnership Announced

Braveheart Select Lacrosse is proud to announce a new strategic partnership with American Indoor Lacrosse Association (AILA).  See the press release below.  This training framework has been structured as a long term partnership to provide a balance of the indoor and outdoor game for our Braveheart players and their development. 

Braveheart is the only summer select league in South Jersey to offer this type of training.  AILA meets our standards of excellent coaching and top competition.  There will be fall/winter programs available immediately as a result of this arrangement.  Space is limited.

Announce Partnership

Philadelphia, PA – October 9, 2014 --American Indoor Lacrosse Association (AILA) is proud to announce its partnership with Damon Legato, Patrick McDonough and Braveheart Select Lacrosse.  

Braveheart will incorporate AILA's In|Crosse education and training as part of their players' development. In|Crosse is AILA’s proprietary system that leverages the integration and convergence of the indoor box version of lacrosse with the field game.  Braveheart and AILA will work collectively to offer a number of cutting edge box programs in the New Jersey market.

Johnny Mouradian's tremendous box and field lacrosse, playing and coaching background and AILA's focus on bringing true Canadian box lacrosse to the US is a perfect fit for our Braveheart players” explains Legato.

Elite lacrosse programs across the country are shifting their training programs to include indoor lacrosse (box style) as part of their coaching and player development. The American Indoor Lacrosse Association is proud to announce this partnership with Braveheart Select Lacrosse to offer AILA Integrated Programs. 

AILA is please to add Braveheart Lacrosse to its list of partners including Baggataway Lacrosse Club (PA), Bulding Blocks Lacrosse Club (NJ), Heads Up Lacrosse (NJ), New England Storm Lacrosse (CT), Prep School Lacrosse Showcase (CT), Tampa Bay Fire (FL) and Rochester Fire (NY) programs. 

"We welcome the owners, their coaches, players and the families of Braveheart Select Lacrosse organization,” explained Johnny Mouradian.  “We are very excited to share the experiences of our AILA Integrated Program as a component of their field development.  Integrated Programs differentiate their organization in a very competitive field marketplace. Our Integrated Program partners will also work with our organization to grow and develop joint venture AILA Programs and Services in their geographical region.”

About Johnny Mouradian: AILA Founders - Quality Expert Instruction

Johnny Mouradian  recently the General Manager of the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League.

Mouradian has won nine Professional World Indoor Championships in various roles as an executive, GM and shareholder (Buffalo in 1992, 1993  1996; Toronto in 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003,2005), Washington Stealth (2010).  

Mouradian is a member of the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame (2001) as a player on the 1978 national team that won the World Championships in England, Ontario Lacrosse Hall of Fame (1998), Ithaca College Sports Hall of Fame (2000), Lakeport High School Hall of Fame (2003), National Lacrosse League Hall of Fame, St. Catharines, Ontario Sports Hall of Fame (2008) and Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame (2009) in the Field Player category.  

Mouradian was GM of the Canadian National Indoor Lacrosse team that won the inaugural World Indoor Championship in 2003. More resently He was the GM of both the Canadian National Field and Indoor teams in the last World Championships in 2010 and 2011.

In 2010 Mouradian created the American Indoor Lacrosse Association that provides programs and services that educate, share and develop indoor lacrosse in the United States and globally.

Congratulations & have a great Summer!

Braveheart Parents and Players,

The 2014 Braveheart summer season has officially ended!

We wanted to congratulate and extend our thanks to all of our players and their families for a great Summer season.  We saw players develop their skill and lacrosse IQ at every level.  We saw great results of our established High School and Youth teams as we either were undefeated, players were selected for All Star teams or we were in the championships at the following tournaments:

  • MVP (Players selected for All Star team)
  • Blue Hen Tournament at University of Delaware (Champions)
  • Lehigh LaxFest (Finalists)
  • LaxEvo Games (Finalists)
  • Bay Bridge Brawl (Champions)
  • Scarlet Knights Summer Shootout (undefeated)
  • NXT Cup (Players selected for All Star Team)
  • Ultimate Performance (undefeated)
